How In-Hand Salary is Determined
Your Cost to Company (CTC) is the total amount the company spends on you annually, but this is not the salary you receive. Your In-Hand Salary is the Gross Salary minus all mandatory and voluntary deductions.
Key Calculation Steps:
- $\text{Basic Salary} = \text{CTC} \times \text{Basic \%}$
- $\text{Gross Monthly Salary} = (\text{CTC} - \text{Employer Contributions}) / 12$
- $\text{Monthly Deductions} = \text{PF} + \text{Tax} + \text{Other}$
- $\text{Net Salary In Hand} = \text{Gross Monthly Salary} - \text{Monthly Deductions}$
***Note: Tax slabs and HRA/Gratuity components are highly complex and vary by country/region, so this tool uses simplified direct inputs for key deductions.
